Samuel H. Payne III, MD is a fellowship-trained Hand Surgeon and Plastic Surgeon at Georgia Hand, Shoulder, Elbow in Atlanta and Marietta, GA. He welcomes patients with upper extremity conditions as well as those in need of plastic surgical reconstruction throughout the body. Dr. Payne specializes in both nonoperative and operative treatments of the hand, wrist, and elbow. He has a particular interest in nerve injury and reconstruction. He also received specialized training in limb salvage and reconstruction during his training at both Emory University and the Limb Restoration Clinic at the Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center.

Dr. Payne is also committed to global health outreach, having participated in the Global Health Residency Scholars Program, which included a month-long medical mission to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he provided surgical care and helped train local providers. Beyond his clinical practice, he is a candidate member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Association for Hand Surgery. In his free time, Dr. Payne enjoys fly fishing, snow skiing, hiking, and traveling.
