I met with Dr. Alexander for an elbow injury and was very impressed with the professionalism, competence, and ease of communication. It is always a pleasure to be seen by doctors who are best in class. This type of tacit knowledge cannot be taught but is earned.

I was in major shoulder pain and I was quickly diagnosed treated and giving given the care I need in a very caring compassionate way. I really appreciate Dr. Chang and everything he did to help me today.
Dr. Chang is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel completely comfortable about my procedure. He will give you a run a run down about what you should expect and answers all questions that you may be concerned about.

I went to see Dr. Alexander after falling and breaking my wrist. He was very nice and explained all my options. I went with surgery and he did an excellent job. He and his staff were very nice and helpful. I can’t say enough about Hannah my therapist. She was very sweet and help me get through physical therapy and got me where I needed to be faster than I ever thought I could. I definitely recommend them both.
I was referred to D. Payne and this office by my primary care doctor and couldn’t be more pleased! Dr. Payne is an excellent surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner which makes you feel like a friend. His diagnosis and explanation of surgery needed made me feel very confident His expertise, along with Jamie’s physical therapy, made my recovery very easy. Should I need surgery again, Dr. Payne will be my chosen doctor.
I broke my wrist just a couple months before I was scheduled to mountain bike the Colorado Trail. I was scared that my plans were doomed. Doctor Howell got a plate and screws put in for me and I was back on the trails so much sooner than I thought I would be. Soon after completing the trail I was able to align my passion with a career in the biking industry, which was a trajectory I may never have fully realized without starting with Georgia Hand, Shoulder, Elbow after my accident. Dr Howell did a minor hand surgery under local anaesthetic on my finger which was being treated by several other Drs for almost a year.for infection. (with several different antibiotics, MRI’s, etc). One Dr wanted to put me under general anaesthesia which I did not want. The finger seems to be much better.
Dr. Sirmon repaired a Colles fracture of my left wrist on May 10th. It has been just over three months since my surgery, and I am doing very well! From the first visit with Dr. Sirmon on the day I broke my wrist, he has been so very kind, positive and reassuring. Not only is he a top-notch surgeon, but he has a wonderful manner that put me at ease right away. During my many recheck appointments, he has patiently answered all my questions and explained everything to me throughout the healing process. I am so grateful for Dr. Sirmon’s expertise and genuine caring about my recovery!

Waited over an hour for about 5 minutes with Dr. Starr. I guess that’s an improvement since my first visit I waited over 2 hours. This practice is very, very poor at scheduling and extremely disrespectful of the value of your patient’s time.

This was my second visit to Dr Dalton’s office and again I was very pleased and impressed. Rarely have I been to a doctor that does not seem rushed and actually enjoyed answering my questions. I will have to have surgery in the near future and I have confidence in Dr Dalton’s expertise and professionalism. His staff is excellent as well and Barbara was charming. Highly recommended!!

I received a cortisone in my thumb joint as soon as the needle was pulled out he looked at me and asked me if he had missed. He did miss because the pain never went away after a month. Went back to my previous doctor.

From checking in to seeing the nurse to seeing the doctor goes swiftly and smoothly, front office does a great job on keeping track of records, overall a great experience. In-house physical therapy section is a bonus. They fit me for a custom brace after my first visit with the doctor., appreciate of the efficiency of it all .

The people here are really great from the front desk to the doctors who perform your surgery and all the techs. I especially love all the updated technology. With all the medications that I take it’s great to not have to fill out form after form knowing how to spell everything. And it’s wonderful to be able to get everything done in one place.

Despite my long wait, once I got in to see the medical assistant, he began following the doctor’s request to take and x-ray and then I was seen immediately by the doctor. My problems were addressed with the appropriate concern and I left with the treatment I felt was probably necessary.

I’ve been going to Dr. Seiler for carpel tunnel for many years. He operated on my left hand and has been helping me with physical therapy for the right. Since I also have stenosis of my cervical spine, he agrees with me that’s where my problem originates so he’s addressing that as well as the wrist. I’ve been extremely happy with the results of both my surgery and physical therapy. I would highly recommend Dr Seiler and his team of therapists to anyone having a similar problem.

Dr Seiler is great communicator and expert technician putting the skeleton back together again. He’s THE BEST. He put back the pieces of my mangled elbow in 2004 (after failed surgery in Jackson Hole) and this year a trigger thumb…both joints important for nursing and exercise. This is one of the nicest medical office I ever went to. It is well designed and very clean. The flow of the appointment was very efficient and easy. The openness of the spaces gave a very easy and open feel. Dr. Starr was very pleasant and thorough and at ease in his communications.

Dr. Seiler had a wonderful bedside manner. He was attentive to all my questions, and I my genuinely felt his compassion to help. Unfortunately, your office does not accept my BCBS insurance as of yet; therefore, I am unable to continue with his care-it makes me so sad, because Dr. Seiler is one in a million.

I got an appointment on short notice to see about what turned out to be a torn bicep ligament. All of the staff were most courteous and helpful, and the facilities were clean and comfortable. Dr. Starr examined my injury very thoroughly and gave me a detailed explanation of the injury and how it would affect me. I felt quite comfortable with his diagnosis and recommendations. Overall, an excellent experience.

Timing was a little late, but good experience.
I have been experiencing elbow pain for some time and the orthopedic professional I originally saw recommended surgery. I sought a second opinion from Dr. Dalton who recommended an x-ray. After viewing the x-ray(s) Dr. Dalton stated that he was puzzled but that my elbows looked fine. He did not recommend surgery or even a steroid shot. He said I could continue working out and continue my regular exercise routine. I met with a personal trainer who recommended some exercises that primarily worked the muscles in my back. I had been experiencing what felt like a cramp in my mid-back. That pain is now gone as is most of my elbow pain. Not rushing to surgery and recommending staying away from steroid shots was great advice for my situation.

there was a 35 minute wait past my appointment time before I was called to an exam room. Dr Seiler came in 6 minutes later, examined my hands for function and use. He is still hopeful that I will be able to have my left thumb tip joint bend fully in the future. Sees some slight improvement in bending today. He has been a phenomial surgeon for my left hand issues since 2013.
Dr. John Seiler entered my exam room with a big smile and “how ’bout them DOGS. He examined my left hand that he has performed several sugeries on since 2012 and discussed its present functioning level. When I told him that the little finger on my left hand was triggering at times, he said we csn fix that with a splint, snd proceeded to give me a thorough explanation on what is happening and how the splint will correct the problem .I then shared with him the intense pain I was feeling in the top of my hand when I turn my hand certain ways. He immediately told me what the problem is, and even drew a hand on a sheet of paper and demonstrated ehat wad happening, how a splint could correct it. Hd sebt me straight to the physical therapy departmrnt to get the splints made. He is a great diagnostician and a kind and caring physician.

Had a “trigger” finger several years ago on my right hand. Dr. Payne performed the necessary surgery and I have had no problem with it since. Now I have the same problem with my left hand. Dr. Payne is the only person I would want to do this surgery.

Dr. Alexander is professional, knowledgeable, personable and patient. I presented with 6 issues and, surprisingly, he addressed all of them during the initial visit. I received x-rays, a cortisone shot, braces and recommendations/prescriptions for follow-up care including a nerve study and physical therapy. I am very pleased with the service I received.

I was shot in the line of duty July 13, 1996 and thought for sure I had lost my arm. Dr. Payne was my doctor and was able to save my arm and put everything back together to make it functional. I was able to return to work after a couple of years and I am a police chief now. My arm and hand have been functional now for over 21 years. Not only was Dr. Payne’s work excellent, I felt his support and encouragement throughout the whole process.

Dr Seiler seems like nice guy. Didnt take any time reviewing past doctors, past PT sessions or any other info i brought to be prepared. He didnt talk much or hear how i got to this point nor much inspection. Took x-rays which never say yes or no, so on to mri which im glad. My referral doc says hes great and all staff say he’s great. Just hope has better treatment thoughts than those i have tried many time before. Shots, PT and, home workouts then wait. I sure am hoping he has a solution to fix this 3 to 4 year old mess.

I have been a patient of Dr. Seiler for approximately one year. Originally I saw him for a torn bicep tendon, then later for a problem with my neck and shoulder. Dr. Seiler recommended physical therapy over surgery on both occasions. I’m grateful for his recommendation! The physical therapy helped tremendously and I was able to be healed without the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Seiler for an appointment and evaluation. They also have a wonderful staff and occupational therapists.

I am a 3 time offender. The quality of care that I have received has been phenomenal . I live in Oxford and Atlanta is approximately 45 miles or so away. Traffic can make this trip for me 90 mins and up to 2hrs due to traffic, wrecks, crazy drivers. Yet I will do this trip gladly BECAUSE of the care I received. Dr John Seiler is such a skilled, compassionate—YES CARING doctor, who I trust with my life. His office is staffed with the most sincere and kindest employees. I highly recommend Dr. Seiler. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. He walked me through every step of my DeQuervain’s tendinitis. We started conservatively with a corticosteroid shot and when that did not deliver the results I was looking for I planned the surgery. I never felt pressured and everything was explained in detail beforehand. I had my surgery today and I am so pleased with the results.

I have been under the care of Dr Starr and his staff including his Occupational Therapist since Oct 2016. Due to an accident I had to have surgery on my left hand needing my left index finger amputated and my right rotator cuff repaired because of massive tears to the tendons surrounding it. I am not only pleased with the out come of my hand but to my shoulder as well! He is truly skilled in his profession and his therapists provide exceptional care.

Dr. Howell is amazing! He took my case although he didn’t have to. He made me feel comfortable, and has great bedside manor. I wasn’t sure that I would be able to bend my fingers again. My end result was much better than I anticipated. I have full function in both fingers that Dr. Howell operated on. I would highly suggest Georgia Hand Shoulder and Elbow to anyone! The staff is wonderful and it is a comfortable atmosphere!
Dr. Payne is a wonderful doctor, who always takes the time to listen and provides exceptional care. I would highly recommend him.

My 16-year-old son, Alex, fell on broken glass and severed 8 tendons, severed an artery, severed nerves and lacerated a 9th tendon on his dominant hand. Alex is an award-winning artist and record-breaking athlete who is also passionate restoring his classic car (1972 Maverick). Before Dr. Starr operated on him, I showed him pictures of Alex’s artwork and showed him a video of him pole vaulting and I said with tears in my eyes, “This is who you’re about to operate on. This is what he could do.” He looked at me with his kind eyes and said he’d do his best. After a 5 and a half hour surgery, months of OT rehab and lots of work from Alex, he is able to write, draw and paint with both hands, as well as work on his 1972 Ford Maverick. Oh, and one more thing… he’s the single A #1 champion of pole vaulting and #11 all-state. THANK YOU DR. STARR and THANK YOU to DAN, Alex’s OT, to whom he gave his pole vaulting gold medal.

Dr. Payne and each member of the staff at GHSE are true professionals, but are also very genuine, kind and truly see to it that their patients get the best care. Each visit, Dr. Payne spends time explaining everything thoroughly, and has gone out of his way to ensure that each of my injuries, even those being treated by other specialists, were taken care of. I’m so thankful for a place like GHSE and doctors like Dr. Payne!

I came to Dr. Payne with a wrist problem because he had done an excellent job on my daughter’s basketball finger injury 20 years ago. My wrist has a small break and has been giving me problems for months. I have gotten great treatment, advice, and compassionate care. Dr. Payne has offered a range of possible treatments along with estimates of their challenges and potential to relieve my problem. With his wise council, I am on the way to recovery. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Payne!
